I live on floor 25 of Edificio Gemelos — which window do I need?+
At that altitude wind pressure can reach 2,000 Pa (class C5 per Eurocode 1, zone Bz1 category C). You need: Kömmerling 76 AD with 2.0 mm steel reinforcement, 6+6.4 tempered-laminated glazing (mandatory per CTE DB-SUA 1 above floor 7), RC2 hardware minimum and water-tightness class E1200 (9A). Surcharge vs standard window: 15-20%.
Do you need an external crane to hoist the windows?+
Above floor 15 almost always yes, unless windows fit in the lift (rare above 1.5 m tall). We coordinate the crane booking with the community (15-30 days lead time in Gemelos, Coblanca, Intempo) and the loading-bay permit with Benidorm Council. Crane cost is included in the quote — never a final "extra".
My apartment is rented on Airbnb — can it be installed without halting the let?+
Yes. We coordinate with your check-out and the next check-in: in standard holiday apartments (5-7 windows) installation takes 1-2 days. Usually we go in Monday after a Sunday check-out and hand over Wednesday before check-in. Zero days off-rent.
I do not live in Spain (British / Norwegian / Dutch): how does it work?+
It is our daily reality — 60% of Benidorm owners are foreign. We serve you in English, German, Norwegian or Dutch (spoken and written). On-site survey with a trusted person you have in Benidorm (administrator, neighbour, concierge). Bilingual Spanish-English contract. Payment by international transfer or card. We send you photos and video of the job so you can follow it remotely.
Do you work with large communities (200-500 homes)?+
It is our strongest profile in Benidorm. We have delivered jobs at Aqua Nature (320 homes), Gemelos 24/26/28 and Coblanca. We coordinate with the administrator, prepare quotes per home type (A/B/C), apply a 12-18% volume discount, phase manufacturing and produce a single works certificate for the community.
Will the windows withstand the September-October gota fría?+
Yes, that is why we use minimum water-tightness class E1200 (9A) — withstands 1,200 Pa combined with pressurised water. On SE/E orientations (facing Levante) we step up to class E1500. Double EPDM gasket + perimeter drainage + anti-rain bottom seal. Written no-leak warranty.
Can you process the grant paperwork?+
Yes. We deliver: itemised invoice broken down by section, before/after energy certificate, installer's declaration, data sheets for every product, CE marking and Eurocode 1 wind-load calculation. With that you have everything for NextGen IDAE, the income-tax deduction, the IVACE Generalitat grant and the Benidorm IBI rebate.
How does payment work? Do you accept financing?+
We accept bank transfer (including international SEPA/SWIFT), card and Bizum. Usual schedule: 50% on signing and 50% on completion (not before). For larger jobs (communities) we can split into 3 milestones. If you need bank financing with preferential rates for energy refurbishments, we can advise.
Which is better in Benidorm: PVC or aluminium windows?+
On the seafront PVC wins in most cases: salt air does not corrode it, it insulates better per euro spent (480-720 €/m² installed vs 620-1,150 €/m² for aluminium) and lasts 40+ years on the Mediterranean coast. Thermal-break aluminium (Cortizo COR 70 with QUALIMARINE coating) makes sense for very large openings and slim-frame sliding systems. We install both, plus mixed PVC-aluminium windows — we recommend the material based on orientation, floor height and opening size, not on a catalogue.
How much do PVC windows cost in Benidorm?+
As an installed reference in Benidorm: 480-720 €/m² with Kömmerling profiles, low-emissivity double glazing and Roto hardware. A 50-80 m² apartment with 5-7 windows usually comes to €5,000-7,000 (VAT included); a villa or bungalow with full glazing, €8,500-13,500. Measurement and a written quote are free, with no obligation.
Which PVC window brand is best?+
We fit German Kömmerling profiles (70 AD and 76 AD) with steel reinforcement and Roto NX hardware — the combination that performs best on the coast for wind resistance (up to class C5), water tightness E1200 (9A) and spare-part availability. For aluminium we work with Cortizo. Everything is CE-marked with a 10-year written guarantee.
How do you clean and maintain PVC windows by the sea?+
Frame and glass: warm water with neutral soap — never solvents, acetone or abrasive pads. On the seafront, rinse the salt off 3-4 times a year. Hardware: a drop of neutral oil on hinges and locks once a year. EPDM gaskets are maintenance-free and can be replaced in minutes if they ever lose elasticity.
What is the installation like and how long does it take?+
It starts with a free laser-measured survey. We manufacture to size and install: a typical home project takes 2-4 weeks from order to handover, with the installation itself done in 1-2 days and no wet works. We remove and dispose of the old windows, seal the perimeter and leave the home clean the same day.
Can PVC windows have roller shutters and mosquito screens?+
Yes. We integrate roller shutters with an insulated compact box (foam-filled aluminium slats), belt or motorised operation with remote and home automation, and roll-up or fixed-frame mosquito screens — including on sliding systems. Everything is made together with the window, in the same colour and under the same guarantee.
Do PVC windows insulate against noise and heat?+
That is their strongest point. With acoustic glazing 6/16/3+3 (Rw 42 dB) we have cut 65 dB of outdoor noise down to 23 dB indoors on the seafront. Thermally, the profiles we fit comfortably beat the required Uw ≤ 2.2 W/m²K and noticeably cut air-conditioning and heating bills.
Do I need a permit to replace windows or enclose the terrace in Benidorm?+
Replacing windows without altering the opening is minor works: a simple prior notification (declaración responsable) to Benidorm town hall is enough. Terrace enclosures depend on municipal rules and your community statutes. We prepare and file the paperwork in both cases.
What are glass curtains and how much does a terrace enclosure cost?+
Glass curtains are frameless tempered-glass panels that fold away completely: the terrace is enclosed without losing the view or the light. The price depends on linear metres, height and glass; after a free survey you get a fixed written quote.
What is a bioclimatic pergola and how much does it cost?+
A bioclimatic pergola is an aluminium structure with adjustable louvres that control sun and airflow, with optional rain and wind sensors. Combined with glass curtains it makes the terrace usable all year round. Price depends on size and options; survey and quote are free.
