A bioclimatic pergola is an aluminium structure with adjustable roof louvres that rotate from 0 to about 135 degrees: open they ventilate and let the sun in, closed they form a watertight roof that keeps out rain and heat.
Unlike an awning or a fixed roof, a bioclimatic pergola regulates the terrace microclimate all year round, which is why it has become the star upgrade for villas and hospitality terraces on the Costa Blanca.
How it works

Does a bioclimatic pergola need a licence?+
It generally needs prior notification or a minor-works licence depending on the municipality, plus community approval on shared areas or penthouses. We handle it for you.
Does it withstand coastal wind?+
Yes: the structures we install are certified up to 130 km/h (class 6, UNE-EN 13561), and in very exposed spots we reinforce posts and anchors.
What maintenance does it need?+
Minimal: cleaning louvres and gutters once or twice a year and checking the motor. No periodic painting or varnishing.
